This unique (only one known to exist) Fill Blessed Sun silver medal was struck in 1853 using the Wright-Bushnell die, which is known as one of the finest portrait dies ever cut of George Washington. It is a sensitive adaptation of the Houdon bust depicting a nude Washington facing left with the initials "C.C.W." under truncation, with a wide plain border around finished Wright die. The reverse has Washington's face within a radiant sun at center of 13 links in a circle, each bearing the initials of the 13 original states. Around: "FILL BLESSED SUN WITH LUSTER BRIGHT, THE 13 STARS YOU BROT: TO LIGHT" This is the Baker number E-96M variety (55mm plain edge silver). This wonderful medal can be yours for only $12,000.00!  Email us for more details.
